Has your natural stone lost its beautiful sheen? Do you have etchings and scratches that won't clean off? Does the surface just look dull?
ZEROREZ® can restore your natural stone to its original luster, and bring out its beautiful natural reflections.
The Process
Zerorez uses a series of resin matrix diamond abrasives ranging from grit 50 to 1800 to smooth, hone, and begin the polishing process. These honing and polishing steps are done with water to minimize dust, and the slurry is vacuumed off the floor each pass.
The stone is then polished using a chemical and low speed polishing machine that dissolves the calcium carbonate in the stone and re-deposits it, filling in all the microscopic scratches and low areas, thus creating a surface that is smoother, structurally tougher, and more resistant to daily abrasion.
The final step is to seal the stone with a solvent based penetrating sealer. This is applied to the surface, immediately following the final polish. This helps to inhibit the penetration of spilled materials upon initial contact with the stone; however, spills must be cleaned up immediately in order to prevent stains caused by repeated or long term exposure.
A restored surface is easily maintained and will last 4 to 5 times longer than applying an acrylic finish
